How long will it take to get my thumbprint tree?

Typically here’s how the timeline works for US Customers:

  • 1-2 days after you order I will send you a proof to approve.
  • About 3-5 days after you approve the artwork it gets printed and shipped out
  • Typically about 3-7 days after that you will receive your print
  • Total Time: About 2 weeks*

International orders take longer to process and ship. I also cannot account for your print getting held up in customs. Most international orders take 3-5 weeks to arrive.
*Please note that orders with custom artwork will take longer.

My event is in a week! Will I get my print in time?

Yes, usually you can but it depends on a few things. Normally prints take 3-5 days to process, however I can offer rush 1-day processing for an extra fee. You can also choose to expedite shipping. Please let me know in advance if you live in the US and need a print sooner than 2 weeks. Unfortunately if you live outside of the US there’s no way for me to get your order to you that quickly.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I currently offer international shipping through my Etsy shop here. Shipping times on international orders may take an extra week to process however.

What pen should I use for guests to write their names?

I recommend is a Sakura Micron Pen. They have a fine point which is perfect for small, subtle signatures next to each thumbprint. They use acid free archival ink that will last a lifetime. You can get them on Amazon, Michaels Craft Stores or Walmart.

What kind of paper do you use?

Each thumbprint tree is printed on a high quality artist paper. It’s textured somewhat like canvas (but still thin like paper) which helps it hold the ink of the thumbprints. Some sellers use glossy, smooth paper which can smudge.

Should I offer wipes for my guests?

Yes, especially if you’re using a dark ink color. The ink doesn’t stay on your hands for long, but guests definitely appreciate baby wipes or wet naps (and a place to discard them).

Can I use a different font on my thumbprint tree?

Of course! Just let me know what font you want to use. As long as it’s a free font or you have a license to use it, that’s no problem at all.
